Toprak makes it a second- consecutive Misano hat trick with his pair of Sunday wins, opening the title conversation

Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) and Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) battled all weekend, however it was for the second consecutive year the #1 who ran the show as he notched his second consecutive Misano hat trick. The 2025 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship picture open for the taking as Nicolo Bulega’s (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) lead is now down to just 9 points.

TOPRAK’S FAREWELL TOUR- “If I were continuing in this paddock, I think we could set many records here”

Toprak Razgatlioglu's (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) 2025 season got off to a messy start, as the lack of superconcessions, limited dry preseason testing time, an offseason injury, and acclimating to a newly homologated bike combined to make his season-opening round at Phillip Island one of his worst in recent memory. While he has not been without struggles since then, he has done well to stabilise the Championship picture and begin to cut away at the lead Bulega had built for himself. Now looking forward to one of his favourite tracks at Donington, it seems like momentum may be beginning to shift.

On his back-to-back hat-trick winning weekend, Razgatlioglu said: “I’m really happy because I was pushing really hard this weekend and I hit my target of winning all three races. In the last race especially, the bike felt much better; we have improved the bike step by step and it allowed me to settle into my rhythm and have a very strong pace. I’m very happy, last year I had three wins here and this year I did it again, now I’m looking forward to Donington. This is my last season, but if I was continuing in this paddock, I think we could set many records here, maybe in the future. It makes winning this season feel that much better.”

“My friends made this message and brought it to me on the track. It almost made me cry” – Razgatlioglu on his post-Race 2 message

Razgatlioglu cruised to a relatively simple Race 2 win, in which he finished with a gap of almost 10 seconds ahead of P2. After a blazing jump off the line to claim the holeshot, he ran away with the race as lap after lap his margin seemed to continually increase over the rest of the field. After a trademark stoppie as he crossed the finish line, he pulled over and displayed a sign reading “Arif, your son is in Moto GP, Happy Father’s Day” a message to the Defending Champion’s late father.

On his Race 2 Father’s Day homage, Razgatlioglu said: “My father died in 2017, and his biggest dream was that one day, that I would one day be a rider in MotoGP. He was always telling everyone this and finally, that dream is coming true. I’m really happy because my friends made this message and brought it to me on the track. It almost made me cry we’ve grown and accomplished goals step by step. Happy Father’s Day to everyone.”
